I like this app....I use my iPad 2 to manipulate the shutter on my iPad 3 with great results!
Wifi Camera is to slow out of wifi network. For outdoor picture this app is way better than wifi camera because this app just show low quality picture for remote. And more nice function added.
Some bad moments
Wasted hours trying to connect everything and still cant get the app to work with my 7D. Disappointed.
Set up was a breeze between my touch 4g and iPhone 4. Very quick and responsive for a connection over Bluetooth. Love the live preview too. Beats any other app Ive tried.
I paid .99 once and installed on all 3 of my devices...iPhone4, iTouch4, & iPad2. Works as described.
Nice functions such as being able to control the camera device features from the remote device. Like flash & autofocus. And I was able to take pictures remotely from several rooms away, over 25ft!!
Only let downs are the remote preview quality (choppy image) & the fact that it doesnt rotate the camera device properly (buttons rotate but image stays upside down).
I hate when people write bad reviews about apps when its their fault they dont read the DESCRIPTION!! Its not meant to work with real cameras!!
This is a pretty cool app. The other reviewer has the same complaints: choppy video and the frame doesnt rotate but most of the buttons and icons do rotate.
The choppy video and communication between devices I think can be attributed to Bluetooth. I experienced similar drops with a Bluetooth connected game.
However, when the connection is working it does work as advertised, is cool, and it is well worth the price!
I have ipad2 connecting to iPhone4s as camera. All live view on screen looks good but photos taken are overexposed. The same photo taken using iPhone camera or other apps yield good exposure but under remote control exposure is wrong.
Does what it says it will do, but could use a couple of improvements & additional features.
Needs to support the retina display on the new iPad. Some of the screen elements dont work. Specifically the filter selector.
Im glad it uses Bluetooth since this makes things easier to connect, even in nature. However, I feel not having WiFi support is a big miss. I would prefer to use WiFi if I can. Im sure the remote would have a higher resolution for viewing.
Really should be able to touch the screen in a particular spot to focus on that area.
Needs to be able to disable the ability to save the image to both devices. Very annoying to get double images in photo stream.
Would love to be able to remotely control multiple devices at once. It would be great to take a single photo from multiple angles.
